ORONO – The Maine Technology Institute is offering a class on writing a successful seed grant proposal from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 28.
The seminar will teach what it takes to successfully assemble a competitive proposal. As an inventor or technology-based business, participants will learn to avoid the “techno-jargon” trap. Tips on how to make a proposal clear, focused, complete and compelling will be discussed. The institute, its mission, and the review process will also be covered. Maine Technology Institute seed grants are awarded six times per year and awards have been made to more than 250 Maine businesses.
The presenter is Elizabeth Crabtree, Seed Grant Program specialist, who has been with the institute for two years and has read more than 650 institute seed grant proposals.
The seminar will be held at Target Technology Center, 20 Godfrey Drive, Orono. Cost is $16 per seminar (payable the day of the seminar). To preregister phone the center at 866-6500 or 866-6535.
