FARMINGTON – Registered nurse Linda Boring has been appointed director of surgical services at Franklin Memorial Hospital, according to Tracy Harty, director of nursing.

In her new position, Boring is responsible for clinical and administrative duties for the hospital’s operating room suite, sterile processing unit, and post anesthesia care unit.

Boring has more than 25 years of progressive staff, supervisory and administrative responsibility with major medical centers in Georgia and Illinois.

Most recently, she was a sales representative/nurse consultant for SRI Surgical Express, a surgical products distributor based in Tampa, Fla.

She received her bachelor’s degree in health arts from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill. She received her nursing degree from St. John’s Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, Ill.

“Linda’s years of experience and vast knowledge of operating room practices and procedures will help FMH move into a new arena of efficiencies and quality management for our patients, staff, and surgeons,” Harty said.

Boring is the parent of a grown son and daughter, and has three grandchildren.
