LEWISTON – Matthew J. Grenham has been named an assistant vice president in the Corporate Security Department at Banknorth Group, Inc. in Lewiston. He will continue to be responsible for physical security and investigation of internal and external fraud for Banknorth in central, coastal and northern Maine. Grenham joined Banknorth in 1996. He is a member of the ASIS, an international organization for security professionals.

A Lewiston resident, Grenham volunteers as a board member for the Tri-County Chapter of the American Red Cross and as co-chair of the security committee for Festival De Joie. A graduate of the Maine Criminal Justice Academy, he is a retired Lewiston police officer, serving 25 years with the department.
