AUBURN – Central Maine Community College will host the second annual Central Maine Supervisors Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24. The cost is $165.
Supervisors are invited to network with peers, improve coaching skills and enhance supervisory talents by participating in breakout sessions on problem-solving, coaching and turning conflict into collaboration.
Speakers will be Filomena Day, president of Better Day Ventures; Steve Pecukonis, principal consultant with HRD Associates; and Anne Walker, principal of Core Concepts, a training and facilitation consulting company. Participants will receive 0.8 continuing education units.

Tiner joins
Better Hockey
LEWISTON – Erik Tiner has been hired as account executive by Better Hockey. He will be responsible for the sale of advertising to new and existing accounts throughout the country.
Better Hockey, The Magazine is distributed in 15 states and produces more than 30,000 editions per publication. In addition to the magazine, Tiner will be in charge of handling Internet advertising for the Better Hockey Web site that receives more than 500,000 hits per month and the subscriber based e-mail that goes out to over 10,000 recipients.
Better Hockey is dedicated motivating and inspiring the athlete to reach the next level. Better Hockey hosts six tournaments throughout New England on a yearly basis and holds several clinics for athletes of all ages.
Stevenson, Ray earn certification
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Brent Stevenson, president of Servicemaster Clean of Lewiston/Auburn, and Amy Ray, a crew chief for Servicemaster Clean, have earned Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration certification.
