MECHANIC FALLS – Jill Reed, a former elementary school teacher, and Shirley King have teamed together to create Park Street Preschool. The program is designed to serve 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds in the community. The newly remodeled building on Park Street is near Elm Street School.

The children will take part in a variety of activities to promote intellectual, social, physical and emotional growth. Careful planning will ensure that each day provides a balanced educational experience for students.

The focus will be on meeting each child at his or her own developmental level, then guiding and motivating him or her to take the next step.

Children will be given opportunities to explore, hands-on, both independently and in group settings. They will be encouraged to appreciate differences in one another and express who they are.
