LEWISTON – Androscoggin Bank took the official wraps off its newly remodeled and updated main office on Lisbon Street recently.
The space was last updated in 1977.
On May 28 customers and friends, along with staff and contractors, came together at an evening open house to finally see the new space and enjoy some refreshments. The event’s souvenir was a spruce sapling, a reminder of the old lobby’s tree that had succumbed a few years earlier.
During the six-month remodeling project more than 5,000 square feet on two floors was stripped down, rebuilt, rewired, and repainted to give customers a new branch lobby, reception area and commercial lending center. The bank’s Androscoggin Trust & Investment Services also received an additional customer pathway as well.
President and Chief Executive Officer Steven A. Closson said, “The extensive first floor renovations to our main office will greatly enhance the utilization of this space and enable our branch and commercial teams to more efficiently serve their customers.
Androscoggin Bank is a subsidiary of Androscoggin Bancorp, MHC, and a state chartered Mutual Holding Company with $450 million in assets and 13 branch offices serving central and mid-coast Maine since 1870.
