ELIOT (AP) – Two New Hampshire men are facing charges in Maine for allegedly stealing $110 worth of ice cream from an ice cream truck.

Eliot Police Chief Theodor Short said several boxes of ice cream treats were taken from a Northeast Ice Cream truck – the kind commonly seen driving through neighborhoods in the summer months – while it was parked at a local shopping center last week.

Foster’s Daily Democrat reported that police arrested 33-year-old Kevin Newell and 23-year-old Clifford Mason, both of Dover, N.H, while they sat in a car at the shopping center. They face misdemeanor charges of burglary from a motor vehicle and theft.
