AUGUSTA (AP) – The eighth annual Franco-American Day was held Wednesday at the State House in Augusta.

Scheduled events included performances of French music, a Franco-American menu in the Cross Cafeteria, the presentation of colors by the Franco-American Veterans, and appearances by dignitaries from France, Canada and the Province of Quebec.

A highlight of the day is the induction of six new members into the Franco-American Hall of Fame.
