ROCKLAND (AP) – A 24-year-old Rockland man has pleaded not guilty to murder and manslaughter charges for the death of his 9-week-old daughter.
Robert Harford wept at his arraignment Tuesday in Knox County Superior Court. He was ordered to be held without bail.
Harford is charged with depraved indifference murder and manslaughter in the Aug. 17 death of his daughter, Ava.
The medical examiner ruled that the girl died from blunt force trauma to the head. Investigators say Harford told police he had become frustrated with his daughter and threw her to the floor.
