BIDDEFORD (AP) – The Maine Marine Patrol says a man’s body has been found near Ram Island off Biddeford-Saco.

Authorities believe it’s the body of a 47-year-old man who disappeared while swimming Thursday off Hills Beach in Biddeford.

While a search of the Saco River area was under way, local sport fishermen spotted the man’s body floating in about 70 feet of water near Ram Island. The body was recovered around 4 p.m.

The man’s name was not being released until relatives are notified.
