SOUTH PORTLAND (AP) – A 26-year-old Portland man is facing a pair of robbery charges plus bail violation following his arrest.

South Portland police say they took Paul Galambos III into custody Sunday after holdups at a Seven-Eleven store on Main Street.

Police say a man in the parking lot was hit in the head with a padlock after a robber demanded his car keys and the victim refused to turn them over.

The robber then went into the convenience store and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash, but police quickly located him. An investigation continues.
