STANDISH (AP) – A 21-year-old man who was arrested over the weekend and charged in the stabbing death of his father was being held Sunday at the Cumberland County Jail, pending a court appearance.

Kristian McKay, charged with murdering 60-year-old Donald McKay, is expected to be in court Monday in Portland.

The victim’s wife, Cathleen McKay, reported the stabbing to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department at noon Saturday.
