WHITEFIELD (AP) – Thirty plaques that identify graves of veterans have been stolen from a cemetery, police said.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department said it found out about the thefts Monday, but it’s believed they were taken last week.

The plaques, which cost about $60 each, hold an American flag. Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.
