PARIS — A man received a summons Monday after a search at his home turned up 62 marijuana plants.
Jay Lox, 50, of Clifford Court, will appear in court on Nov. 12 on a charge of misdemeanor marijuana cultivation. Zane Loper, an officer with the Paris Police Department and special agent with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, said 59 of the plants were outside and three were inside.
“They were in all stages of development,” Loper said. “The majority of them I would say were under 2 feet tall, but there were probably eight to 10 that were going to be full-sized plants.”
Loper said neighbors called to complain about traffic going in and out of the area, and he was able to see marijuana plants on Lox’s property from the street.
