WILTON – Selectmen will hold two public hearings at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the town office.
The topic is proposed improvements to the downtown and waterfront along the shore of Wilson Pond. A committee led by Betty Shibles proposed improvements in September to the fronts on some businesses and around the foot of the lake in an effort to beautify and revitalize the area.
Since then the town has learned it could apply for a development grant of up to $150,000 to help with some of the proposed projects.
A second hearing will be held to review a liquor license application from Saltmarsh Farms Inc. for a new restaurant at 284 Main St., the site of the former Boiler Room restaurant.
The board will also hear a request from Mike Lee to designate Prospect Street as an ATV access route.
