LIVERMORE FALLS – A town manager search committee plans to hold interviews with seven candidates Wednesday.

Selectmen received 19 applications for the position and are being aided in the search by Maine Municipal Association.

Selectmen’s Chairwoman Louise Chabot said in October that the applications were graded and the top seven were chosen to be interviewed. Five interviews will be in person and two by phone. If a second interview is needed, it will be set up.

The interviews begin at 9 a.m. at the town office and will be conducted in executive session, interim Town Manager Kristal Flagg said.

Members of the search committee are selectmen Chabot, Jackie Knight, William Demaray, David Lemire and Ernest Souther, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr., waste treatment operations manager Kent Mitchell, Public Works Department leader Bill Nichols and town Treasurer Kristal Flagg, and residents Darryl Brown and Phil Poirier.

Former Town Manager Martin Puckett left Sept. 26 to be manager of three towns in Aroostook County.
