LIVERMORE FALLS – Two 15-year-old Livermore Falls girls accused of shoplifting alcoholic beverages from Food City, a grocery store, have been charged with theft, police said.
Police received a call from store personnel Friday reporting that two girls had run into the store and ran out with what was initially thought to be beer, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.
When Lt. Thomas Gould caught up with the girls on Knapp Street, they were taken into custody, Steward said.
Gould recovered five Smirnoff mixed drink beverages, he said.
The girls were released to their parents’ custody, he said.
