FARMINGTON – A three-vehicle crash on Town Farm Road on Tuesday sent one person to the hospital.
Jane Wadsworth, 70, of Farmington was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital by NorthStar ambulance after her 2006 Ford van was sandwiched between two other vehicles. Wadsworth was treated and later released, according to a hospital representative.
Jeffrey Gilbert, 20, of Farmington was stopping in his 1995 Dodge Ram pickup to assist a disabled motorist, police Officer Michael Adcock said. Wadsworth was unable to stop and rear-ended the pickup.
A third vehicle, a 2007 Silverado pickup driven by Kevin Vining, 48, of Farmington, crashed into the rear of Wadsworth’s vehicle.
Adcock estimated Wadsworth’s vehicle was totaled while Gilbert’s received about $3,000 damage, and Vining’s about $10,000.
