JAY – Friends and family are putting on a benefit supper followed by live music Saturday to help offset medical expenses for Tammy Lyman, who has pancreatic cancer and is going through treatment.

Lyman of Livermore Falls is the mother of Brandon, Brian and Austin Ouellette and a 1977 graduate of Livermore Falls High School, said friend and former classmate Jean Tardif of Livermore.

“She still has three more weeks of chemotherapy,” Tardif said of Lyman, who works for a trucking company in Lewiston when she’s well enough.

In April, Lyman had her pancreas, spleen, gallbladder and part of her stomach removed, Tardif said.

“She went through some intense chemo and radiation because it had gone into some of her lymph nodes,” Tardif said.

The supper will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m., Sept. 27, at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Route 4 in Jay. The cost is $6 for adults; $3 for children age 8 and under.

Live music will be provided by Matty and the Barnburners from 6 to 9 p.m. upstairs at the hall. Donations would be appreciated at the bring your own booze event.

Advanced tickets for the supper are available at Foss Jewelry Store or by contacting Tardif at 897-5091, Debbie Fournier at 897- 4938 or Margaret Leclerc at 320-0900.
