LIVERMORE FALLS – Police here and in Jay and Wilton are investigating incidents of numerous paint balls shot at residences and vehicles overnight Monday.
A resident of Souther Road in Livermore Falls discovered Tuesday that her house and garage had been hit with paint balls, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Wednesday.
There were some holes in the walls and some glass, he said.
Jay police also received three calls Tuesday of paint ball damage to two residences and a vehicle, Jay officer Steve Wilkins said.
Two residents on Route 140 reported having a home and a vehicle hit, and another house on Belleview Drive was also marked, he said. An aluminum garage door was dented in the latter incident, he said.
The same color paint balls were used in each one, Wilkins said.
He has no leads or suspects in the case, he said.
Wilton police Chief Dennis Brown said two vehicles on Depot Street were hit with paint balls.
“The paint balls and color are consistent with what happened in Jay,” Brown said.
One victim of a paint ball attack reported hearing a noise about 10 p.m. Monday but didn’t see anything, Brown said.
She found the damage Tuesday morning.
“Due to the splatter pattern of paint balls upon impact, you can reasonably determine it came from a vehicle in motion,” Brown said. The pattern indicates the vehicle was traveling west on Depot Street, he added.
