WILTON – A convicted sex offender faces charges of stalking and making harassing phone calls after he was accused of making unwanted visits and calls to two women at Village View Apartments.

Robin S. Hutchinson, 44, of Farmington was arrested Feb. 8 on two counts of stalking and several charges of making harassing phone calls, police Chief Dennis Brown said Tuesday.

The victims didn’t know Hutchinson, but had knowledge of him through a third party, the chief said.

Police investigated the women’s concerns of unwanted visits and calls and found that Hutchinson had visited the victims and made calls on several occasions, Brown said.

Hutchinson was convicted of gross sexual assault in 1999 in Farmington.

Hutchinson remained in jail Tuesday held on $1,000 cash bail, a corrections officer said.
