NEW VINEYARD – Deputies are investigating a daytime burglary that included the theft of three firearms Wednesday from a home on Swenson Drive, Franklin County Sheriff’s Lt. Niles Yeaton said in a prepared statement Thursday.
The owner discovered the burglary after returning from work and contacted the sheriff’s department, Yeaton said.
Deputies Sandy Burke and Michelle St. Clair responded to the call. There was no indication of forced entry into the home, the lieutenant said.
Stolen were two rifles, a shotgun, a video game and a guitar, Yeaton said.
The value of the stolen property is less than $1,000.
Deputies are pursuing some leads, he said.
