DALLAS PLANTATION – A Rangeley woman is accused of breaking into her former boyfriend’s house and causing about $3,000 in damage.

The next day the woman went to a Rangeley bar and assaulted the man and his new girlfriend, police said.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Detective David St. Laurent arrested Elizabeth Swiney, 28, Saturday on charges of felony burglary and aggravated criminal mischief and misdemeanor domestic assault, sheriff’s Lt. Niles Yeaton said Monday.

Swiney broke up with her boyfriend and then, apparently upset, broke into his residence and caused significant damage, Yeaton said. Damages included broken windows and dishes.

The damage is estimated at about $3,000, he said.

On Saturday, she apparently went to a bar in Rangeley and physically assaulted the former boyfriend and his girlfriend, Yeaton said.

Attempts to reach Swiney for comment were unsuccessful Monday.
