JAY – School Committee members will consider the superintendent’s proposal to increase high school breakfast prices by 50 cents and lunch by 25 cents. He is also recommending breakfast prices at the middle school be raised 25 cents.

Superintendent Robert Wall is recommending that high school prices be increased for breakfast from $1.50 to $2 and lunch from $2 to $2.25.

He is also proposing that breakfast prices at the middle school go from 75 cents to $1.

Lunch prices at both the middle and elementary schools would remain the same at $1.75, and breakfast prices would remain at 60 cents at the elementary school.

Adult lunches would also stay the same at $3.75, he said.

During the meeting that starts at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at Jay High School library, board members will also consider electing a new chairman and vice chairman.
