JAY – The Police Department arrested Virginia Gordon, 35, of Jay on a charge of forgery and acquiring drugs by deception Friday.

The department investigated a report of someone altering a prescription and then having it filled at the Hannaford pharmacy in Jay on May 23. Gordon was arrested on Friday. She was taken to Franklin County jail in Farmington.

Some of the prescription drug was recovered, and the investigation is continuing.
