LIVERMORE FALLS – There will be a GrowSmart Maine regional town meeting Thursday to address Brookings Report findings and recommendations and how people can work together to implement ideas.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the town office, Livermore Falls Town Manager Martin Puckett said Tuesday.

It is expected to last about an hour, he said.

GrowSmart Maine is a statewide non-profit citizens’ organization working to promote sustainable prosperity and to protect the state’s distinctive character and quality places.

Representatives will give an overview of the Brookings Report and discuss how some of those ideas can be adopted, Puckett said.

The meeting is open to the public. Organizers are trying to reach out to communities in and near to Senate District 17, including people in the towns of Hartford, Canton, Jay, Fayette and Wayne.
