WILTON – Members of local organization the Wilton Group are hosting a non-partisan informational meeting about the Taxpayer Bill of Rights tonight at the behest of a resident.

Wilton Group member Susan Atwood said Friday that after a person asked for more information on the proposal, the group organized the event, set to take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Town Office.

State Rep. Tom Saviello, I-Wilton, Town Manager Peter Nielsen, and SAD 9 Superintendent Mike Cormier will hold a conversation and question-and-answer session about the bill. The three have different perspectives on it, Atwood said, which should help the audience understand the various for-and-against perspectives in the state.

The event is open to the public.
