CARRABASSETT VALLEY – A Dryden woman was listed in fair condition at Central Maine Medical Center Thursday night with injuries she suffered in an accident on Route 27 here Thursday.

Tracy Robbins, 30, of Dryden was transported by LifeFlight medical helicopter to CMMC after the Nissan Sentra she was driving careened off the road and landed upside down at about 11 a.m., according to Carrabassett Valley patrol officer Jim Lightbody.

Robbins told police after the crash that she thought the car skidded on black ice initially. In response to the skid, Lightbody said, Robbins overcorrected causing her car to spin 180 degrees and leave the road.

Robbins was extracted from the car’s broken back window, the officer said.

There were no passengers in the car at the time of the accident, Lightbody said. He estimated damage of approximately $3,000 to the Sentra.
