INDUSTRY – A Wilton man being held Thursday at the Farmington jail is accused of assaulting a man, attempting to steal drugs and robbery.
Justin Ross, 28, went to a home of a relative in Industry late Tuesday and assaulted a 54-year-old man, Lt. Niles Yeaton said Thursday. The man was treated at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington for injuries to his eye, nose and hand, he said. Ross was found Wednesday at a home on Bailey Hill Road and arrested by Deputy Sandy Burke on charges of felony attempting to steal drugs and robbery, the lieutenant said. He was also given summonses on charges of misdemeanor assault and criminal threatening. Ross made an initial appearance in 12th District Court in Farmington on Thursday and was charged with aggravated assault and criminal threatening. His bail was set at $5,000 cash or $50,000 in real estate.
Deputy Heidi Gould and Cpl. Stephen Charles assisted Burke, Yeaton said.
