JAY – A Jay man whose parents were arrested last week on drug trafficking charges, was arrested as well Friday.

Jay police charged Aaron Adams, 22, of 8 School Bus Road in Jay with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, police Chief Larry White Sr. said.

Adams turned himself in to police Friday and Cpl. Jeffrey Fournier arrested him on a warrant that was issued after the Feb. 18 search of his parents’ home on School Bus Road where all three live, White said.

The home of his parents’ Clifford and Lili Adams is within 1,000 feet of the Jay Elementary School.

Police allegedly found marijuana and other drugs and seized a “substantial amount of cash” during their search.

Clifford Adams, 56, and Lili Adams, 45, were each arrested Feb. 18 on a charge of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.

The couple was released from jail later that evening after each posted $1,000 cash bail.

Aaron Adams was released from the Franklin County jail Friday after posting $500 cash bail, a jail intake worker said.

All three are scheduled to appear March 23 in 12th District Court in Farmington.

White declined to release more information as the investigation continues.
