1935 – 2009
AUBURN — Lottie Jane McKay, 73, of Poland passed away on Thursday, Sept. 3, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, with husband Everett and her family at her side.
She was born in Poland on Sept. 20, 1935, the daughter of the late Frank and Fannie Fields of Poland. She attended Poland schools. She worked at Stride Rite and many local shoe shops.
She married Everett McKay on Sept. 1, 1984, but they have been together for 42 years. She enjoyed going to Florida with her husband every year. She also enjoyed playing bingo, cards and her computer games, but most of all enjoyed all of her family. Her family was her life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Everett, of Poland; her six sons, Lloyd Merchant and his wife, KimBeth, of Turner, Norman Merchant of Gray, Bucky (Ronald) Merchant and his wife, Sue, of Auburn, Ernie Merchant and his partner, Ray, of South Carolina, Harold Merchant and his wife, Rhonda, of Poland and John Merchant and his wife, Marie, of Mechanic Falls; five daughters, Rose Boisvert and her husband, Gerry, of Poland, Tina Cothran of Mechanic Falls, Lisa Lipinski and her husband, Joe, of Augusta, Debbie Raymond and her husband, Walter, of Chelsea and Tabitha Dunton and her husband, Tim, of Augusta; a brother, Arnold Fields and his wife, Myrtle, of Florida; a sister, Bessie Farnsworth and her husband, Clinton, of Florida; two brothers-in-law, Harvey McKay and his wife, Linda, of Florida and Mike Kearney and his wife, Marlene, of New Hampshire; a sister-in-law, Grace Vellieux of New Hampshire; 28 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; many friends including Evelyn, Sheilia, Maxine and Marlene; and her loving companion, Rosie, her Jack Russel, which will greatly miss her.
She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Gabbriella and one brother, Franklin Fields.
