Andrea O. Poulin

1921 – 2009

LEWISTON – Andrea O. Poulin, 87, of 26 Magnum Dr., Turner, passed away peacefully after a brief illness Saturday, Sept. 5, at CMMC surrounded by his family.

Born at Notre Dame des Pins P.Q. Canada, Nov. 12, 1921, the son of Napoleon Poulin and Alexandrine Begin, eighth of 11children.

He was a member of Sacred Heart and St. Philip’s Churches of Auburn and prior to his retirement he worked as a builder of numerous homes in Lewiston, Sabattus, Turner and Moody. He and his wife lived in Deerfield Beach, Fla., for 10 years. His hobbies included gardening, playing cards, swimming and listening to music and going out to eat.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marie-Marthe Champagne; and daughters, Therese and husband, Steve Michaud, of Turner and grandson, Jeffrey Michaud, stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany, son, Pierre Poulin of Union, daughter, Maryse, and husband, Norm Cyr, of Lakeland Fla., grandson, Derek and wife, Mandy, great-grandchildren, Mason and Madelyn Cyr of Lakeland Fla., grandson, Neil Cyr and companion, Heather Laplante, of Bothell, Wash., daughter-in-law, Maria Poulin and grandson, Erik Poulin of Sabattus, daughter, Lucie and husband, Greg Washburn, of Lewiston, grandson, Dustin Gilbert and granddaughter, Lyndsey Gilbert of Lewiston and their father, Jeffrey Gilbert of Livermore, daughter, Eloise Labbe of Moody, grandson, David and his wife, Agamit Haroosh Labbe, of Vancouver, B.C., grandson, Dennis of Seattle, Wash., grandson, Jack and companion, Nicole Pizarro, of Vancouver B.C., and grandson, James Labbe of Vancouver, B.C., and their father, David Labbe of Kittery Pointe, daughter, Ann and husband, Mike Oriend, of Lake Wales Fla., grandson, Michael and companion, Stephanie Jones, of Moorsville, N.C., grandsons, Nicholas and Thomas of Lake Wales, Fla., son, Auguste Poulin of Augusta. Also survived by his sister, Evelyn and husband, Laurent Dupuis, of Lewiston; a sister-in-law, Marie-Jeanne Veilleux of Ocean Park; brother-in-law, Roger Champagne and his wife, Helene, of St. Georges, P.Q. Canada; and sister-in-law, Edith Morin Champagne of St. Georges, P.Q. Canada.

He was predeceased by his son, Paul of Sabattus; brothers, Eugene, Fabien, Josepn and Jean-Louis; and sisters, Alice, Agathe, Juliette, Suzanne and Louise-Anna.
