LEWISTON – Twins Variety Senior Giants remained undefeated through two weeks of the FLY football season, defeating Lisbon St. Getty Mart Senior Redskins, 33-12.

Quintarian Brown scored two of his three touchdowns on runs of longer than 50 yards. Ben Howell also scored on an 85-yard reception and returned a kick for a TD. Eli Cady, Zach Abisalih and Logan Lavoie set the tone defensively with key stops for the Giants.

Jeffrey Clark Jr. led the Redskins with 149 yards rushing, including a 58-yard TD run in the third quarter. Clark cappd the scoring with a 70-yard kick return for a score. Joey Gonzalez also ran the ball well behind the blocking of Austin Greeley and Aldean Porter. On defense, Cody Daigneault, Ryan Jones, Gonzalez and Brendan Duguay played strong games for the Redskins. Chad Hinkley chalked up a fumble recovery.

In the other senior tilt, Sam Francis State Farm Lions downed Bath Iron Works Steelers, 20-7. Isaiah Harris returned a kick for a TD. Issac Cote reached the end zone on a TD reception from Nick Harnden. Dakota Withee concluded the Lions’ scoring with a TD run behind big blocks from Carter Remeika and Ka’Mari Schnitker. Leading the charge for the Lions’ defense were Eijah Harris, who logged an interception, Matt Hudson and Darius Phillips. Playing hard for the Steelers were Eddie Emerson, Demitri Kroening, Joshua Mays and Trevor Gagnon.

Sabattus Disc Golf Junior Steelers stayed perfect on the campaign with an 18-0 triumph over Softlight Junior Lions. Garrett Poussard paced the Steelers with a pair of touchdowns. Jaznel Burns added another. Opening the holes up front were Josh Colon and Jacob Morin. Ben Bolduc recovered three fumbles to protect the shutout, while Burns registered seven tackles. Contributing to the Lions’ defensive effort were Tyson Cote, Jared Rubin, Xavier Jackson and Josh Kobel.

Grimmel’s Gas-Up Jr. Giants got into the win column with a 22-6 verdict over Gee & Bee Jr. Redskins. Gage Cote scored all three Giants TDs. Brock Belanger and Sheldon Landry led the Giants defense with multiple tackles. For the ‘Skins, Adaryan Ray rushed for 69 yards and scored the lone TD. Colby Desjardins and Christian Fowler combined for 53 yards on the ground. Desjardins (sack, three tackles for loss) led the Redskins defense along with Antonio Beaupre, Grant Hartley, Jayden Wilson, Keyshawn Green and Connor Jewett.
