Oak Hill 2, Lincoln 1
WALES — Cody Fortier chipped the ball past goalie Kyle Scherer with 16:38 remaining to lift Oak Hill to a 2-1 victory over Lincoln in KVAC boys’ soccer action Monday.
Zach Lennett gave the Raiders (4-0) the early advantage midway through the first half on pass from Ben Daggett, but Lincoln tied the game with three minutes left before halftime on a penalty kick by Ethan Wajer. Adam Soucy set up Fortier on the game-winner.
Tanner Lessard and Shawn Adams helped limit Lincoln’s scoring opportunities.
Cody Plourde made 11 saves for Oak Hill, while Scherer finished with nine saves for Lincoln (3-1).
NYA 3, Poland 2
POLAND — North Yarmouth scored the game’s first three goals and held off Poland’s bid for a comeback to escape with a 3-2 victory.
Henry Sterling, Will Stabley and Matt Michaud scored for the Panthers (2-1-1). Nate Williams and Kyle Eastman scored for the Knights (0-3) to narrow the gap to one.
Dykan Seeley made seven saves for NYA for the win, while Mike Littlefield made eight svaes in goal for Poland.
Medomak Valley 1, Leavitt 0
TURNER — Tyler Isidro snapped a scoreless deadlock in the second half by scoring off a deflection on a direct kick to give Medomak Valley a 1-0 victory over Leavitt in boys’ soccer action Monday.
The goal came 1:20 into the second half. The ball bounced off a pair of players and Isidro sent it into the right-corner of the net. Leavitt later had a successful penalty kick disallowed when the ball was booted before the whistle.
Korey Mulherin and Jacob Harris shared goalkeeping duties for the Hornets (0-4), combining for 14 saves (11 for Mulherin). Caleb Thompson had 10 saves for the Panthers (1-2).
