LEWISTON — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the Ramada Inn. A social hour will be followed by lunch at noon. After the speaker there will be a short business meeting and a report from the Legislative Committee members on recent news, information and updates regarding NARFE concerns, federal and statewide.
Guest speaker will be Cathy White, Lifeline program manager for St. Mary’s for the past eight years. She manages one of the state’s largest Lifeline providers with more than 740 units in operation. It is a passion of hers to get Lifeline service into as many homes as possible. There will be a question and answer session after the presentation.
White has worked for St. Mary’s Health Systems for more than 20 years. A native of Maine and graduate of Lewiston High School, she lived in Lewiston for most of her life. She resides in Poland Spring with her husband, two children and stepson.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 27. There will be a program of Lewiston/Auburn history with photos of the cities taken in middle to late 1800s. Speakers will be David Gudas and Ronald DeBlois.
