AUBURN — The Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St. There will be a bag lunch and following the meeting bingo will be played.

Tickets will be sold for the Halloween luncheon, $4, to be held on Wednesday, Oct. 28; for the Thanksgiving luncheon, $5, Nov. 11; and for the Christmas luncheon, $5, Dec. 9. Members may pay for the three tickets with one check.

There will be a regular meeting with a food sale on Oct. 14 and members are requested to cook their home baked favorites and put in small packages. Candies or garden vegetables are welcome and cash donations may be made should one prefer not to cook.

When the group met Sept. 9 under the direction of President Virginia Houston, 58 members were present. Bertha Targett of New Gloucester and Yvette Frechette of Litchfield were welcomed as new members. Edwina Bonney, Mildred Brainerd, Jean Hawthorne, Kay Hewison, Ellie Rolerson and Russell Howe returned to the meetings.

Trip chairwoman Evelyn Sawin reported all seats were taken on the bus for the foliage trip to Lincoln, N.H., Oct. 2. She will take names if anyone would like to go should there be a cancellation. She informed those attending the trip that the bus will leave at 9 a.m. from the American Legion and will be in New Hampshire at noon.

Those having birthdays in September were honored.

Attendance prize winners were Virginia Trafford and Edwina Bonney; pot of gold, Lucy Cowles, Helen Stelmok and George Herrick; mystery prize, Hope Telow, Pat Donohue and Aileen Harnden.

At the close of the meeting and a bag lunch, members played bingo.
