Claudette and Normand Rivard

LEWISTON — A surprise 60th anniversary party was held recently for Normand and Claudette Rivard of Lewiston. The event was held at the home of Diane and Gary Drinkwater in Lewiston.

The couple was married on July 29, 1949, at St. Anne’s Church in Lisbon.

The three children of the couple planned the event, Normand and Linda Rivard of Bangor, Diane and Gary Drinkwater and Lorraine and Roger Bard of Lewiston.

Also in attendance were the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the couple, Jennifer Hebert of New Hampshire, with her two daughters, Allison and Paige, Amy Heimerl of Auburn, Andrew Bard of Lewiston and Marissa Rivard of Bangor.

Special friends were also present to help celebrate the anniversary, a niece, Lorraine Brodsky of Santa Monica, Calif., and Ruth Drinkwater and Ken of Auburn.
