Choir members
POLAND — Daniel Mickool of Poland is spearheading an effort to create a musical choir in the area. Chorus members are being sought for the project.
Sight reading and basic music skills are required. Choristers will learn blending and tonal qualities and be challenged by a wide variety of classic works both old and new. Composers will include Rutter, Willcocks, Tavener and Vaughan Williams. The choir will also tackle more challenging pieces as time goes on.
Mickool expects the group to rehearse once weekly in the Poland area during the fall. Membership is by informal audition for soprano, alto, treble, tenor and bass parts. Various instrumentation will be used for accompaniment.
Those interested in becoming members of the choir are encouraged to audition. For more information about how to get involved or to schedule an audition, contact Dan Mickool at 272-9041 or e-mail
