James H. Williams Jr.
POLAND — James H. Williams Jr., 73, passed away Sept. 24, at home after a long, courageous battle with cancer, with his loving sisters and brother-in-law by his side.
He was born in Brunswick, the son of James and Helen Williams.
He enlisted in the Army during the Korean War. He then drove truck for himself and a few companies, the last being Marden’s, until he retired. Then he enjoyed garage sales, flea markets, a good deal, and just living the simple life.
He is survived by one daughter, Stephanie and husband, Chris McCurly, along with two grandsons, Connor and Nolan McCurly of Orville, Calif.; four sisters, Helen and husband, Richard Small, of Poland, Susan and James Cairns of Windham, Mary Lutz of Danville and Rachel Parrott of Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Bil and wife, Clarice Lutz, of Auburn; a half sister, Donna Benson of Manchester, Vt.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, James H. Williams; mother, Helen Lutz; step dad, James Lutz; and one sister, Beverly Brown.
The family wishes to thank Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice nurses and aides for their tender care.
