Jordan L. Talbert
2002 – 2009
BOSTON — Jordan L. Talbert, 7, of Quaker Ridge Road, Greene passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, peacefully with his parents, Kelly and Michael by his side at the Children’s Hospital in Boston, after a valiant struggle with leukemia.
Jordan was born in Toledo, Ohio, June 15, 2002. He attended the Greene Central School and was in the second grade, but was being home schooled this year because of his illness. Jordan was a great all around kid who loved his friends, classmates and teachers.
Just this past March, thanks to the Maine Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Jordan and his family traveled to Disney World in Florida, which was by far the highlight of his life. Jordan’s family will always treasure those precious memories at Disney World and the experience that Jordan shared with his family during that trip.
His hobbies included following NASCAR and No. 24 Jeff Gordon, as well as video games, watching cartoons and going fishing with dad. When it was time for a snack, he loved hot wings and pickles.
Besides his parents of Greene, Jordan is survived by two sisters, Hailey and Kaitlyn Talbert, also of Greene; his maternal grandparents, Royden and Mary-Jane Hunt of Island Falls and Patsy and Ronald Brown of Florida; his paternal grandparents, Mark and Nina Talbert of Toledo, Ohio; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and close friends.
