Jacqueline C. Murray Young
1931 – 2009
LEWISTON, Idaho — Jacqueline C. Murray Young died suddenly at her home in Lewiston, Idaho, on Sept. 17.
She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 23, 1931, the daughter of John B. and Eva Lachance Murray. Upon her graduation from the Auburn Maine School of Commerce, she was an office worker at the Lewiston Gaslight Co. until she joined the U.S. Navy in 1955.
In Lewiston, she retired from the Idaho Department of Transportation in 1995.
She is survived by three daughters, Catherine Young of Lewiston, Idaho, Amanda Steward of Bossier City, La., and Deborah Young of Moclips, Wash.; one son, James Young of Cupertino, Calif.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva Ladouceur of Lewiston and Carole Christiansen and her husband, Roy, of Ware, Mass.; two brothers, Joseph Murray and his wife, Frances, of Lewiston and Michael Murray and his wife, Roberta, of Leesburg, Fla.; one brother-in-law, R. Joseph Isabel of Lithia, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Constance Vincent Murray of Claremont, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her companion of 32 years, Arthur Gall; a son, Douglas; a granddaughter, Christine Steward; sisters, Patricia Picard and Theresa Isabel; and brothers, Daniel and John Jr.
Services wil be held in Lelwiston, Idaho, at a later date.
