OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Historical Society’s program on Thursday, Oct. 15 will be “Genealogy 101.” It will be a one-evening introduction to family history research, with Ann Thomas of Augusta serving as instructor.
The program will be held at 7 p.m., at the Otisfield Town Office.
The program is designed especially for those who are interested in searching for their ancestors but need help in getting started. Also, those who are already at an intermediate level will learn how to break through the brick walls that confront every genealogical researcher.
Thomas, a certified genealogist for more than 20 years, first became interested in family history through her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. The historical society encourages anyone interested in genealogical research to attend the course and to bring questions. All are welcome.
