LEESBURG, Fla. – Corey E. Small Sr., age 35, a resident of Leesburg, Fla., and formerly of Jay, died very unexpectedly Thursday, May 28, at his home.
He was born June 25, 1973, in Lewiston, the son of Manford H. and Rhonda (Meserve) Small.
He was a 1992 graduate of Jay High School.
He was employed at Wal-Mart in Leesburg, Fla., and also worked as a carpenter and a handyman who could fix just about anything.
He was a very loving father to his four children and enjoyed the time spent with them and his family.
Corey was a very giving person who often volunteered at the local food co-op and at sporting events.
He had also been involved in helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
He is survived by his parents, Manford and Rhonda Small of Jay; a brother, Craig Small and his wife, Nicole, of Framingham, Mass.; a son Corey Small Jr.; three daughters Tiffany, Brittany and Vannesa Small; and the mother of his children, Jennifer (Mason) Small of Leesburg, Fla.
