SOUTH PARIS – Nicholas B. Magliano, 89, resident of Randall Road in Lewiston died, Tuesday, March 17, at the Maine Veterans’ Home after a long illness.

He was born Feb. 18, 1920, in Manhattan, N.Y., a son of Francesco “Frank” and Rose (Pellegrino) Magliano. He was educated in New York schools and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was employed for 37 years as a boiler mechanic at Consolidated Edison Electric Co. in New York before coming to Maine in 2002.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Virginia (Cloutier) Magliano of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Mae Magliano and Marguerite Perretti; and a brother, Leonard Magliano.
