AUBURN – Cecile Eva Marie Demers, 67, of 34 Bartlett St., Lewiston, died Friday, Feb. 27, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Auburn.

Born in Lewiston on July 22, 1941, she was the daughter of Joseph and Merilda Paquette Dion.

Educated in local schools, she worked for many years in area shoe shops.

She was married to Leo J. Demers, who passed away on Feb. 11, 1985. A member of the former St. Mary’s Parish, she enjoyed spending time with her grandson, playing the spoons at beano, going to Old Orchard to play skeet ball and dining at Uncle Moe’s Diner.

Survivors include a son, Leo and wife, Wendy, of Auburn; a grandson, Nicholas; very special companion, Bill Doustou; two brothers, Maurice Dion and Paul Gravel; and a sister, Rita Perreault.

She was predeceased by a brother, Roger Dion; and sisters, Lorraine Vigue, Germaine St. Cyr and Pauline Duplessis.
