RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph “Butsy” Gallant was celebrated Friday at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Ave Maria,” “You Raise Me Up,” “Amazing Grace” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Readings were done by his grandson, Lee Walker Jr. and great-granddaughter, Ashley Walker. Poems were read by great-grandsons, Joshua Walker and Justin Walker. Pallbearers were Lee Walker Jr., Linwood Walker, Justin Walker, Joshua Walker and Bruce Walker Jr. Spring interment will be at Pineview Cemetery in Roxbury. A reception followed in the parish hall. Military honors were by the Maine Military Honors Program. Services were under the care of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
