LEWISTON – A celebration of life service honoring the life of Carol C. Demeter was held Friday at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home with Chaplain Bertha Jacqmin presiding. Services began with the AROK 4 Daughters of the Nile Ceremony in honor of their member, Carol who was to have been elected their Queen in March. Musical selections played during the service were “On Eagles Wings,” “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “Amazing Grace” and “When I Get There.” Words of remembrance were shared by Carol’s close friend, Audrey Johnson who also read words written by Sis Martel who was another close friend of Carol’s. Graveside committal prayers will be held later in the spring at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lewiston. At the conclusion of services, all in attendence greeted Carol’s family with their personal condolences after which a reception of fellowship was held at Marco’s Restaurant in Lewiston.
