AUBURN – Theresa S. Lussier, 80, of 140 Ash St., Frye School Apartments, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 23, at the Hospice House, with her daughter and her sister at her side.

She was born in Auburn, Oct. 12, 1928, a daughter of Elphege and Lucienne (Dube) Custeau. She attended St. Peter’s School, graduated from Lewiston High School in 1945, and remained a lifelong resident of this community.

She was married to Raymond Lussier, who predeceased her in 2003. She first worked for short time in local shoe shops, but spent most of her married years as a homemaker raising her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

She loved crafts and enjoyed making her home a beautiful and comfortable place for her family to visit. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and was always a devoted Catholic and very involved in church activities as her family was growing up. She will be sadly missed.

The family wishes to thank the entire staff of the Hospice House for their care provided to her during her last days there.

She leaves her daughter, Sandra Hopkins of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Eric Hopkins and wife, Lisa, of Winslow, Brad Parker of Concord, N.H., and Markie Plante of Old Orchard Beach; her sister, Christine Ducharme of Lewiston; a niece, Diane Gagnier and husband, Greg, of Lewiston; two nephews, Marc Ducharme and wife, Doris, of Lewiston and Denis Ducharme and his partner, Pat, of Auburn; her aunt, Theresa Geoffroy of Auburn; and a special friend, Lorraine Dionne of Lewiston, who did so much for her.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Lussier; and by a daughter, Brenda Parker-Plante.
