LEWISTON – Doris Marie Cecile Bolduc Ross of Farmington passed away with her daughters by her side Jan. 20, at Central Maine Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Jan. 8, after a long illness.
She was born Dec 5, 1928, in St. Zacharie, Canada, the daughter of Raymond and Lucina Poulin Bolduc. She graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1948. She married Mahlon “Hum” Ross in Strong June 17, 1948. He died April 3, 1983. Together they enjoyed their vegetable gardens, flowers and working on their home on Blake Hill. She worked at Diamond Match mill and Forster Manufacturing until retiring in 1987, due to ill health. She had fond memories of summers at Webb Lake, enjoyed Phillips Old Home Days, fishing, playing cards and especially going to their camp at Lake Moxie. She moved to Deer Crossing Apartments in Farmington in 1997, to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law.
She is survived by her four children, two sons, Quinn Ross of Avon, Fremont “Beanie” Ross and companion, Lauraly Parsons of Avon; two daughters, Camillia Yeaton and husband, Neal, of Farmington and Candy Hamel and husband, Robert, of Industry; a sister, Laurette Childs and husband, Robert, of Phillips; a brother, Louis Bolduc and sister-in-law, Phyllis Bolduc, of Phillips; nine grandchildren, Cathy Yeaton Morton of Midway, Utah, Nathan Yeaton of Farmington, Nichole Yeaton of Midway, Utah, Kristofer Targett of Vassalboro, Travis Targett of Kingfield, Troy Ross of Cushing, Kirby Ross of Strong and Darren Ross of Stratford, N.H.; 16 great-grandchildren; and was anxiously awaiting one more great-grandson, due to arrive in Utah in March.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband; brother, Leo Bolduc; sister, Jackie Smith; sister-in-law, Jean Bolduc; brother-in-law, Burchard Smith; and first-born grandchild, Jamie Ross.
