BRIDGTON – Ronald (Ron) Palmer, 72, of Smith Street, Fryeburg, died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 5, at Bridgton Hospital.
He was born in Portland, June 27, 1936, a son of John D. and Blanch Rogers Palmer and graduated from Fryeburg Academy, also Central Maine Technical College in heating and air-conditioning school. Ron was a sheet metal worker for Young’s Metal Shop for many years in Fryeburg. He later was self-employed as a used car dealer, and then in the sheet metal business in heating and air-conditioning. He was a member of the Snow Goers Club.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandra Palmer of Fryeburg; one son, Andrew of Fryeburg; one daughter, Holly Palmer of Westbrook; one brother, Owen Palmer of Lewiston; two sisters, Phyllis Charles of Brownfield and Barbara Charles of Ipswich, Mass.; one granddaughter, Taylor, of Fryeburg; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Donald, Earl and Clarence.
